Triple layer Oreo pudding pie is a no bake dessert that is so simple to make and so yummy. All you need are 6 ingredients! It’s the perfect summer pie because there is no oven needed and it’s so light tasting.
I have been o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with no bake desserts lately. Maybe it’s the warmer weather we’ve been having or maybe it’s because I love the idea that you don’t have to turn on the oven and slave away in a hot kitchen in order to have a dessert.
I posted this {no bake} Triple Layer Lemon Pudding Pie just last week and it has already been in the top 3 most viewed recipes each day since it went live on the blog. You all must be loving no bake desserts just like I am!
Oh, and I posted another no bake dessert yesterday too; Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Bars. Seriously they are one of my favorite things ever. Tastes just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
This Oreo pudding pie has 3 layers of creamy Oreo deliciousness all inside a store-bought Oreo crust.
Homemade whipped cream + powdered sugar for a sweetener.
Crushed Oreo cookies.
Oreo instant pudding mix + milk.
The key to this pie is letting it hang out in the fridge for several hours. The longer it’s in there the firmer the pie gets, which makes it easier to cut into nice slices, and the colder it gets. Which gives the flavor time to develop. I would suggest making this the night before you need it. If you’re in a crunch and can only refrigerate it for 2-3 hours, that’s fine too. It will still be yummy, I promise. Your pieces might not be a perfect slice but it will taste the same.
Be sure and put this on your list of must-make desserts. It’s already become a family favorite around here. Which makes sense because my kids are addicted to Oreo cookies. They love anything stuffed with those things so it was no wonder this pie was a hit with them.
Ingredients
- 1 ready-to-use Oreo pie crust
- 2 boxes (4.2 oz each) Oreo instant pudding
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 cup chopped Oreo cookies
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- additional crushed Oreo cookies for garnish
Instructions
- Combine the 2 boxes of Oreo pudding mix and 2 cups whole milk. Stir together with a whisk until it is combined and thick. This will take about 2 minutes to thicken up.
- Add the chopped Oreo cookies and stir together to combine.
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of the pudding mixture into the bottom of the pie crust.
- With a handheld blender, or bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the heavy whipping cream and the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. This takes about 3-5 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of the whipped cream into the remaining Oreo pudding mixture. Stir together until combined and spread into the pie crust.
- Spread the remaining 1 cup of whipped cream on top.
- Cover with the enclosed lid and let refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Refrigerating overnight is best.
- When ready to serve, garnish the top with additional chopped Oreo cookies.
Notes
The longer the pie sits in the fridge the better it becomes. I would suggest making this the night before (add Oreo garnish on top just before serving) you need it. If you're in a time crunch, try to at least have it in the fridge for 4 hours.
If wanted, feel free to use a tub of Cool Whip in place of the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Just use 1 cup Cool whip for the 2nd layer and then 1 cup for the top layer.
